Our Mission is to foster a unique community and sanctuary where the therapeutic power of Cats, Music, and Art cultivates wellness, comfort, and support for individuals navigating everyday life, grief, and trauma.
Our Vision is to be at the forefront of creating spaces that exist beyond social media, fostering connections between cats and humans, and harnessing the combined power of feline companionship, music, and the arts to support our community.

At Lucky Cats Rescue, our sanctuary is a promise—one of lifelong safety, comfort, love, and respect for every cat who lives here. These are not temporary residents or adoption candidates; they are permanent family members given the space to be fully themselves. From quiet nooks for shy souls to sunny spots for social butterflies, every detail of the sanctuary is designed around their needs, especially the future Catio! We honor their unique personalities, provide top-tier care, and never ask them to perform or behave in any way other than as a cat. This is their forever home, and their well-being comes first—always.

Lucky Cats Rescue isn’t just a sanctuary for cats—it’s a safe space for the people who love them. Here, cat companionship serves as a bridge to healing, connection, and self-awareness. Whether you're navigating trauma, grief, addiction recovery, or simply burned out from the world, our programs offer a quiet, nonjudgmental place to decompress and unmask. In the presence of cats, and alongside others who find comfort in their company, visitors are reminded they’re not alone, and here, you are supported. We believe that healing happens not just in solitude, but in shared experiences—with cats and with one another.

First Fully Feline-Focused Therapy, Research, and Advocacy Program
Cat Therapy is a growing field in animal-assisted therapy, with research showing that cat companionship can help improve mental health. We are taking the initiative to lead the way for cats to have their day and provide cat-loving humans access to Feline-Focused mental health content, information, & services.
By supporting our cat therapy program, you will be part of an innovative movement that challenges traditional norms and puts cats at the center of animal-assisted therapy!
Creating a working model, research design, and a system for a cat-specific therapy program, intended to flip the traditional model on its head.
-Old Model: Dog-based visit at the client's home or facility
-New Model: Cat-based, visit us at the Sanctuary!
Gather data and feedback from each visit, collecting measurable information that can be used in various ways.
Lead/advocate for the use of rescue cats for their natural therapeutic benefits in the world, and not the use of cats from breeders.
Use the “cats vs. dogs” model to show how simple the “us vs. them” mentality has been sold to us as a society. Comparing things that are not the same leads nowhere positive, but WE can use it to change the perspective.

Community & Events Program
Cat people are not simple people. Just like cats: multi-passionate, all unique with similar quirks & you know, “cat things”…We are silly and often misunderstood by those who choose to judge first instead of taking a minute to get to know us for who we are. Frequently put down by society for just being ourselves.
Our Communities Program aims to build a new safe haven for cats and humans to watch out for one another online and in our local community, while giving space for those that the world has overlooked. With this new property, we will be doing just that!

A portion of proceeds from the handmade gifts and items featured on Tats & Lucky Cats Marketplace is donated and used to maintain the LuckyCatsRescue.org website and lifetime care for the cats in the Sanctuary Program. Your cats love our catnip blends, and you love watching them go crazy for our handmade toys knowing it helps fund our mission.
